Orbit Terms of Use

By creating an Orbit account you agree to these terms. They are short because the app is simple.

What Orbit is

Orbit is a personal study planning tool for IB Diploma students, run by Saturn Designs Studio (the "operator"). It is currently an invite only beta. It is provided free of charge and as is: it may have bugs, features may change, and it may be paused or shut down. The operator will give reasonable notice before any shutdown and you can export your data at any time.

Your account

• One account per person, using an invite code you received from the operator or an existing user.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be an IB student or someone with a legitimate reason to use a study planner. If you are under 18, use Orbit with a parent or guardian's permission.

Your content

Everything you enter (ratings, notes, photos, deadlines) stays yours. The operator only uses it to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload content you have no right to share, or anything unlawful or abusive.

Academic integrity

Orbit helps you plan and practise. It is not a place to store or share exam material you are not allowed to have, and it does not write assessed work for you. You remain responsible for following your school's and the IB's academic honesty rules.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other users' data, overload or attack the service, resell access, or use invite codes for anyone other than the intended person. The operator may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Third party services

Google Calendar, push notifications, and the school calendar feed are optional connections to services run by others, under their own terms. Orbit is not responsible for outages or changes on their side.

Liability

Orbit is a free tool built to help you study. It makes no guarantee about your grades or results. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses arising from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of your country.

Changes and contact

Meaningful changes to these terms will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Orbit after a change means you accept it. Questions: hello@saturndesigns.art.
